For researchers and professionals dedicated to advancing global health, a new window of opportunity has opened to present their work on the most important stage for debate in the sector. The presidents of the 3rd World Congress on Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (3rd WCTCIM) have announced a new and final round for abstract submissions, with the deadline extended to July 15, 2025.
This decision responds to requests from scientific societies and reflects the congress’s commitment to diversity, aiming to ensure equitable participation from researchers, students, and health professionals from all six regions of the world. With over 400 abstracts already received, the new date offers a valuable chance for more voices to contribute to the forefront of Traditional, Complementary, and Integrative Medicine (TCIM).
This congress is establishing itself as a qualified global arena, designed to bring together researchers in plenary sessions, specific-themed parallel sessions, oral communications, workshops, and health-promoting cultural and body activities.

Abstract Submission Modalities
Interested parties can submit their work in three distinct modalities. Authors should note that the official language for all submissions and presentations is English only.
- Research Abstract: Intended for the presentation of quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-methods research. It covers everything from preclinical studies and clinical trials to systematic reviews and methodological studies.
- Case Report: Focused on clinical cases that offer a unique contribution to scientific literature. The submission must follow the CARE Checklist guidelines to ensure the quality and relevance of the presentation.
- Experience Report: Aimed at documenting health practices and experiences using TCIM, with approved works to be published on the Fiocruz IdeiaSUS platform in the form of videos and texts.
Guidelines for Authors
To encourage participation, abstract submission only requires the main author to register in the congress system; payment of the registration fee is not necessary at this time. Payment will only be required after the abstract is approved and is a prerequisite for presentation at the event and publication in the proceedings in the journal Frontiers in Public Health, one of the most recognized international public health publications.
Submit Your Abstract HereFor authors from low and middle-income countries (LMICs) whose work is approved and who need to request support for the congress registration fee should contact the event’s organizing team directly via email: [email protected]
Aligning your submission with one of the six thematic axes of the event can enhance the relevance of your work. Therefore, a careful review of the text, ensuring clarity, conciseness, and adherence to the guidelines, is a crucial step for a successful evaluation.
