Abstract

Homeopathy has shown promise as a supportive tool in the clinical management of patients with complex conditions, both in oncology and in neurodevelopmental disorders. This work brings together two case series that highlight the potential of homeopathic practice as a complementary approach within Traditional, Complementary and Integrative Medicine (TCIM).

The first series presents the clinical experience of oncological patients treated with dynamized Viscum album as a coadjuvant to conventional therapies. Clinical and quality of life improvements were observed, including reduction of symptoms related to tumor progression and to adverse effects of allopathic treatments, without significant side effects reported.

The second series reports cases of children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) followed for at least 12 months, treated according to classical homeopathy combined with isotherapeutic detoxification protocols, nutritional guidance, and supplementation. Relevant improvements were noted in behavioral and social aspects, such as increased interaction, reduction of stereotypies, and advances in both verbal and non-verbal communication, also without adverse events.

The findings suggest that homeopathy may provide important clinical benefits, both in the supportive care of oncological patients and in the management of children with ASD, broadening therapeutic perspectives and promoting quality of life. Further studies, with more robust methodologies and larger samples, are needed to scientifically validate these preliminary results.
